6:30-8:00 p.m.: two, 40-minute information sessions for parents/guardians
Offerings
- Resource Fair: Our Media Center will host materials from a variety of community nonprofit organizations. Feel free to browse throughout the evening!
- Executive Functioning: Find out how executive function skills support success in each and every area of student life! Leave with strategies, ideas and resources to better support your student's learning style.
- Online Safety: We hope to have a Howard County Community Police Officer present important information and answer your questions regarding online safety.
- Canvas Unveiled: Ms. Lora Koehler (HMS Media Specialist) will introduce the full capabilities of Canvas and explain how students and parents can make the best use of it. Check grades, locate assignments, search and use resources. Come to learn, explore and ask questions!
- Mental Health Today: Join the conversation about how to recognize when your student might be struggling with social/emotional issues and what you can do to provide appropriate supports.
