Hello HMS Community –
May has just flown by, even with all the rain recently we can see summer break in sight! But before we get there, we have one more restaurant night and final PTA meeting next week, as well as some wonderful opportunities still ahead to celebrate our 8th graders as they head off to high school!
Final PTA Meeting of the School Year!
Monday, June 2nd In Person Meeting @ HMS Cafeteria, 6:00pm – 7:00pm
We will be voting on a new PTA Board! We have volunteers for President, Vice-President, and Treasurer but still need a volunteer for Secretary. If you are interested in volunteering to be considered for President, Vice-President, Treasurer, or Secretary please let us know.
Please consider stepping into a role so that we can continue to plan great events for our students and show our amazing staff how much we appreciate them. If being a Board member isn’t the right fit but you still want to be involved, don’t worry, we will also have a number of opportunities for parents to chair committees or help volunteer so stay tuned!

Thank you to everyone who ordered TAHARKA BROTHERS ICE CREAM last week! We were able to raise about $300! Enjoy your frozen treats!

We are sending off our middle schoolers to new adventures with a FUN NEON-GLOW Farewell Dance on Tuesday, June 10th from 6-9pm at The Meeting House in Columbia.
🌟This dance is for HMS 8th Grade Students ONLY - NO Exceptions🌟
8th GRADE DANCE TICKETS:
The 8th Grade Dance Committee will be selling tickets online for $20. Proceeds will cover admission, dinner and all dance activities!

Hammond High School will be holding a rising 9th grader football information night next Wednesday (4th of June) at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. We would appreciate it if you would post this information in your HMS newsletter sent out to parents or other communication tools.
